Srinagar, Oct 8: The J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) today issued date sheets for the annual regular examinations of Classes 11 and 12, starting November 8 and 19 respectively.
The Board also announced a 15% relaxation in the prescribed syllabus for students for the October-November 2025 session, as was earlier announced for class 10.
According to the officials, the Class 12 examinations will begin on November 8, while Class 11 exams are scheduled to start from November 19.
Both examinations are expected to conclude by the second week of December.
The Board said that over 1.52 lakh students – including 81,000 from Class 11 and 71,000 from Class 12 – from the Kashmir Division and winter zone areas of Jammu Division, besides students from Kargil district, will appear in the upcoming exams.
In view of the disruptions caused by torrential rains, cloudbursts, and floods, the JKBOSE reiterated its decision to extend 15% concession in the syllabus, treating the attempt of 85% marks as equivalent to 100%.
The Board has urged students to prepare seriously for the exams, assuring that the evaluation and conduct of exams will maintain “high standards of transparency and fairness.”
It also instructed invigilators to discharge their duties professionally to “safeguard the purity and integrity” of the examination process.
District administrations, police, and the School Education Department have been requested to extend full support for the smooth and orderly conduct of the examinations.
Students, parents, and stakeholders have been advised to refer only to the official website – [www.jkbose.nic.in]- for the official date sheets and syllabus details to avoid misinformation or misinterpretation of the concession policy.
