KATHUA, June 3: The irate residents of various border villages in Hiranagar Sector held a protest demonstration at village Pansar in Hiranagar tehsil today in protest against the water and power problems faced by the people in entire border belt.
The protestors shouting slogans against the administration said that on one side they are facing the shells from across the border and on the other the State administration has deprived them of basic amenities life like power and water.
The protestors said that for the last two months they were facing acute water and power crisis and the administration has totally ignored them.
They said it is difficult for them especially ladies to walk upto a long distance to fetch a bucket of water when there is shelling from across. They urged the Government to take necessary steps and solve the problem.
