KATHUA Sept 6: In continuation to its endeavor to thwart the evil designs of the bovine smugglers, DySP, Ravinder Singh, SDPO Border division today succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid and rescued 13 bovine animals.
Acting swiftly on tip off , SDPO Border Kathua along with a team of officers during late last night established checkpoint at NHW near Chadwal. During checking police seized three Mahindra Bolero with Registration No JK02BM-2292, PB35Q-6588 and third one is without number plate. Thirteen bovine animals were illegally carrying in these three vehicles. In this process police saved 13 bovine animals being smuggled in all the three vehicles.
Police registered a case under relevant section of law and investigation taken up.
