JAMMU, Nov 15: Border-men serving at the front are our real heroes as they fight a battle every day to protect the integrity of the nation.
This was stated by Bollywood actor Nana Patekar while sharing moments with BSF jawans on International Border in Hiranagar and Kathua today.
“Our greatest weapon is not the BEFORS nor the AK, but our jawans. A jawan is known for his simple life style, generous donation in charities, drought relief activities and helping indebted farmers”, Patekar said this to acknowledge the power of BSF troops while giving befitting reply during ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
Famous bollywood actor and social worker Nana Patekar visited BSF border outposts on International Border in Hiranagar and Kathua to recognize the hardships, sacrifice and duty of brave BSF jawans during recent cross border firing by Pakistan.
He shared memorable moments with enthusiastic jawans and officers of BSF.
The keenness and warmth of renowned actor Nana Patekar, who has been conferred honorary rank of Captain by Army, was well responded with enthusiasm of jawans deployed on the frontline of defense.
The morale of the troops rose to the peak, listening from Patekar that to be present among protectors of nation sovereignty was a moment of great pride for him and he was jubilant with feeling of patriotism.
Patekar said that it was a great opportunity for him to come and meet BSF troops. The whole nation stands firmly with them, he added.
On this rendezvous, DK Upadhayay, IG BSF, Jammu Frontier said that such visits raise the morale of troops, recognizing the immeasurable service rendered by world largest border grading force tasked to guard vast Indian Frontier in Western and Eastern corridors.
