JAMMU, Oct 17: Keeping a tight vigil over smuggling of liquor and drugs in the holy town Katra, police today nabbed a bootlegger along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, a police team from Katra Police Station during patrolling at Katra Bus Stand nabbed a bootlegger along with 22 pouches of illicit liquor.
The accused has been identified as Harbans Lal, son of Durga Dass of tehsil Sunderbani, district Rajouri.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered against the accused at Police Station Katra and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Katra Police Station Ajay Bhatt made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Ravail Singh and SP Katra Kulbir Singh.
