Bootlegger lands in police net

JAMMU, July 28: A bootlegger landed in Ramsoo police net along with 50 pouches of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on reliable inputs, police team from Ramsoo police station intercepted a pedestrian on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 50 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Maghar Singh, son of Prem Singh, a resident of Hochak Ramsu.
He was carrying illicit liquor pouches to his native place for sale among the locals for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 52/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at police station Ramsoo and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramsoo police station Inspector Nazir Dar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Mohammad Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
