Bootlegger held with illicit liquor

JAMMU, Oct 7: Bishnah police today arrested a bootlegger, recovered 10 litres of illicit liquor from his possession and also destroyed 100 litres of lahan.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Bishnah Police Station led by SHO Inspector Narinder Singh conducted raid at village Kothey Bulandhay and arrested a bootlegger, who has been identified as Dev Raj, son of Kalu Ram of Kothey Bulandhay.
Police recovered 10 litres illicit liquor and destroyed 100 litres of lahan, he added.
A case under FIR number 135/13 and under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bishnah Police Station and investigation started.
