JAMMU, Nov 11: Continuing the drive against smuggling of drugs in the holy town Katra, police today arrested a bootlegger along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, police team from Katra police station arrested a bootlegger, who has been identified as Deepak, son of Krishan Lal of Gajansoo, Marh.
Police recovered 36 pouches and 4 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.
A case under FIR number 247/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act and 188 RPC has been registered at Katra police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Katra police station Ajay Bhatt made the arrest under the supervision of SP Katra Kulbir Singh.
