REASI, May 30: Police today arrested a bootlegger at Pouni and seized 43 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
Acting on specific information, a Police team headed by SHO Pouni, Inspector J J Bhagat, laid special patrolling at village Bharakh area and intercepted the accused, identified as Kewal Krishan of Kantha, Sunderbani.
43 poly pouches (31 of 250/250 ml each and 12 of 180/180 ml each) of J&K Excise liquor, were recovered from his possession. Police seized the liquor pouches and arrested the accused.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 31/2016 U/S 48-A Excise Act, has been registered at Police Station Pouni.
