JAMMU, Mar 1: A bootlegger was arrested with 44 bottles of illicit liquor from Rajeev Nagar area here falling under the jurisdiction of Police Post Narwal.
A police spokesperson said that information was received regarding a person selling illicit liquor in their area.
On this, he said, teams of Police Post Narwal led by incharge Police Post Narwal, laid a special naka at Rajeev Nagar and rounded up the said person, later identified as Manoj Kumar of Rajeev Nagar, Jammu.
On his search, the police spokesperson said that 44 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession.
The accused has been accordingly booked under the relevant sections of the law registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and further investigation started.
