REASI, Apr 28: Police has arrested a bootlegger, who was indulged in manufacturing illicit liquor, and seized 25 litres Lahan from his house at Judda in Arnas.
Acting on specific information, a Police party, led by SHO Arnas, Inspector Arvind Sambyal, conducted a raid in the house of Suram Singh of Judda (B) and recovered 750 ml of illicit liquor, 25 litres lahan and material for preparation of illegal desi liquor.
Police arrested the accused person and after completing all codal formalities, destroyed the Lahan on the spot.
In this regard, a case under Section 48-E Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Arnas.
