Bootlegger held

JAMMU, Oct 10: Akhnoor police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Akhnoor police station laid a naka and intercepted a man on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 50 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger, who has been identified as Paramjeet Singh, son of Bhagwan Singh, a resident of Jad, tehsil Akhnoor.
A case under FIR Number 184 /15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at Akhnoor police station and investigation started.
The arrest was made by Inspector Pushpinder Singh, SHO Akhnoor, under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor, Naresh Singh, Additional SP Rural, Rajiv Pandey and overall supervision of SSP Jammu, Uttam Chand.
