JAMMU, June 25: Kanachack police today arrested a bootlegger and recovered 36 nips of J&K Excise liquor from his possession.
A police spokesman said that, patrolling party from Kanachack police station intercepted a person and subjected him to checking.
During checking, police recovered 36 nips of J&K Excise liquor from his possession, he said, adding that the bootlegger has been identified as Krishan Chand, son of Sant Ram of Harsa Tokrian.
A case under FIR number 107/13 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Kanachack police station and investigation started.
