JAMMU, Dec 7: A notorious bootlegger along with illicit liquor was arrested today from Patyalachak area falling under the jurisdiction of police station Domana.
According to a police spokesperson, the accused identified as Harbinder Singh son of Jaspal Singh of Marh, was arrested on a tip off when he was on his way to supply the illicit liquor in Nagbani area of city outskirts.
A total of 59 poly pouches of illicit liquor (frooti) of 250 ml each were recovered from the possession of the accused.
The arrest and recovery was made by SHO police station Domana, Inspector Rajinder Sharma, under the supervision of SDPO Domana, Surinder Sharma, SP Rural, Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu, Uttam Chand.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered against the accused at police station Domana and further investigations are underway.
