UDHAMPUR, Sept 24: Udhampur police today seized 40 pouches of illicit liquor from a bootlegger in Mini Bus Stand, Udhampur.
Acting on reliable information, a police party from Police Station Udhampur intercepted the accused who was travelling on foot near Mini Bus Stand, Udhampur. During thorough search of that suspicious person, 40 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession.
Police seized the illicit liquor and arrested the accused, who was identified as Anchal Singh, son of Lal Singh of Karia.
In this connection, a case under Section 48A Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Udhampur.
