Srinagar, Aug 25: Police today said it arrested a bootlegger and recovered illicit liquor from his possession in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir.
A police spokesman said acting on information, police in Gund area of Ganderbal arrested a bootlegger identified as Mukash Sharma while selling illicit liquor at Gagangeer. “10 bottles 750 ml each and 48 tins of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession,” he said.
The spokesman said that a case under FIR number 22/2017 under Section 48 Excise Act was registered against him and investigation was taken up.
