DODA, Aug 17: Bhalla police arrested a bootlegger along with 54 pouches of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Bhalla police post laid a naka at Chakrana bridge and intercepted a person, who was moving under mysterious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 54 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the man, who has been identified as Shoket Ali, son of Mohammad of Rounda, tehsil Bhalla.
A case under FIR Number 93/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bhaderwah police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Bhalla police post SI Sunil Parihar made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Jatinder Sambyal, SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma, Additional SP Bhaderwah Shaazad Salaria and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
