JAMMU, Jan 24: In continuation with the booth level meetings of BJP ahead of the Parliamentary and Assembly elections, BJP organised many meetings in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Constituency today. The meetings were chaired by former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta along with Baldev Billowria.
Addressing the workers Kavinder Gupta said that the grass root level workers are the back bone of the party and the victory of the candidates depend upon the hard work of such workers. Lauding the impressive performance of the party during the urban local bodies and Panchayat polls in Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP gave a new slogan of ‘booth strong, party strong’.
The slogan, aimed at strengthening the party at the grassroot or the booth level, came over one month after the BJP national president, Amit Shah had asked the party’s State unit to strengthen the party at all levels, including districts, mandals, and booths, during National Executive meet in Delhi.
Gupta, while addressing a well-attended meeting of the Executive Committee members, district president, Morcha presidents and senior leaders in Shastri Nagar, asked them to connect more and more people with the party so that BJP could become stronger and win all elections with high margin.
“Workers should work hard to make the party strong at booth level because if booth is strong, the party will be strong,” said Gupta. Gupta gave some suggestions to the workers of making the party strong while asking them to allot five booths each to mandal level and the Morcha’s office bearers.
“If booth will be strong, the party will become strong,” he reiterated while directing the workers to appoint booth in-charges, besides constituting of booth Samitis, and holding booth level meetings.
He also directed the workers to take the achievements of Narendra Modi led Central Government to every house of the State and also asked the workers to reach out to every house and every person of the State to make them aware about the Modi Government’s achievements in the past four and half years.”This would make the party’s base strong in the State, and it would surely help it in winning all elections with high margin and again BJP would become party in power,” he added. The meeting was held to review the current political situation of Jammu vis-à-vis party’s position, along with the ensuing upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
