JAMMU, Apr 17: Arun Sharma, a French language faculty and the president of first French Club of Jammu today launched his second French book titled ‘French phrases and useful words’ at Press Club here in the presence of several members of French Club of Jammu.
KK Bhat, Regional Director, IGNOU, Jammu who was the chief guest on the occasion congratulated Sharma and said that such people who have the knowledge of foreign languages were an asset to the State.
“Such authors who have immense knowledge of foreign languages can contribute a lot for the benefit of the people of the State” said Bhat.
Anil Sharma who is the development officer at LIC of India and was guest of honor said that the book would be useful for the students who have opted for French language at their schools.
Sharma said that the book includes all the basic information regarding French language, translation of phrases from English to French and also French words.
“French language has come as a boon for Indian students who wish to work in different fields including tourism, hospitality, Airlines among several others” said Sharma.
Chairman of French Club, Jatinder Singh and senior members including Ravinder Pal Singh, Arjun Sharma, Sunil Dogra, Sushil Tagotra, Dr Sanjay Gupta, Dr BR Dogra and many others were also present.
