Book on Amarnath Vaishnavi hits stands

JAMMU, Feb 9: A book on brief life story of Amarnath Vaishnavi, written by Rohini Vaishnavi, the founder of R V Learning Foundation, was released during a Webinar organised today. This brief life history has been written especially for children to inspire them through the anecdotes from Amarnath Vaishnavi’s life.
The webinar was conducted on the Facebook. This programme was chaired by Utpal Koul a well known activist, Ashish Koul an author, Er Vinod Kumar a writer and Usha Kher Tickoo, Deputy Superintendent of Police.
Amarnath Vaishnavi Centre which has been established by R V Learning Foundation, working for education of underprivileged, women entrepreneurship and employability skills, conducted the event.
Amarnath Vaishnavi Centre of Excellence was set up last year by R V Learning Foundation by Rohini Vaishnavi who is the grand daughter of the legendry leader. The center supports the education of students with limited means under the Amarnath Vaishnavi Scholarship Scheme and also spearheads activities which connect youth with our legacy.
Besides, an online essay competition was organized for youngsters ranging from school going children to undergraduate students participated from all over India and abroad. They spoke on range of topics such as the significance of Shivratri, story of Kashmiri Pandit exodus and great men and women of Kashmir.
Santoshi Raina from Jagti, Harsha Koul from Jammu, and Sheen Sarup from Ghaziabad UP were declared as first, second and third prize winners of online essay competition organised for students by Amarnath Vaishnavi Centre of Excellence. Cash prizes of Rs 5000, 3000 and 2000, three thousand and two thousand were given to the first three winners respectively.
Besides, Kalpesh Bhat from Jagti, Bhumika Raina from Jammu, Aadya Bradoo from Faridabad (Haryana) and Sanjana Tickoo from Jammu were winners of four consolation prize of Rs 1000 each in the competition.
