JAMMU, Apr 23: On the occasion of World Book Day, a book titled “Mobile Phone an angel or devil”, written by Dr Chandra Shekhar and Pooja Sharma, was released here today by the Director of Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan, Saugat Biswas. The book is also available online on Amazon website.
Speaking on the occasion, Biswas said that the book is an excellent research work in present scenario and the topic is very demanding among the society.
Dr Chandra Shekhar drew attention towards uses and misuse of mobile phone. “It is informative many times and it can also destroy your personality. Porn sites are very dangerous for the coming generations and can prove to be a slow poison for youth,” he added.
Prof Anurag Gangal, who has written forward for the book, presented detailed key note and said that the book is very beneficial for all researcher. It is a unique and fantastic work in University of Jammu,” he remarked .
Co-author Pooja Sharma also shared her experiences about writing the book and data collection in different school and colleges. “It was very difficult work because it is a new theme, task and challenge to the new comer students,” she added.
Prof J P Singh Joorel of JU said that title and cover page of the book were very impressive.
Dr Neeta Chandra presented vote of thanks. Puneet Jain, Vikram Shahi, Prof Arti Bakhshi and Dr Renu Gangal were also present on the occasion of book release.
