JAMMU, Apr 23: Police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested three criminals along with 4.25 grams heroin and three sharp edged weapons from Ward Number 8, RS Pura.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal laid a naka in Ward Number 8, RS Pura and signaled a scooty bearing registration number JK02BK-4113 to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the rider accelerated the vehicle and escaped from the spot. Stinking something fishy, the cops chased and intercepted the vehicle near some distance from the naka point.
During checking, police recovered 4.25 grams heroin, two syringes and three sharp edged weapon from the possession of three persons riding on the scooty and arrested them.
The accused have been identified as Amandeep Singh alias Gaurav, son of Darshan Singh of Nadi, Sandeep Singh, son of Rajinder Singh of Simbal Morh and Mohammad Saleem, son of Mohammad Mussa of Makhanpur Gujran.
A case under FIR Number 78/17 under Section 8/21/22/29 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and 4/25 Arms Act has been registered against them at police station RS Pura and investigation started to ascertain the source of heroin.
