Book culprits who defaced Gen Zorawar statue: DSS

JAMMU, Aug 27: Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) has condemned the act of defacing the statue of Gen Zorawar Singh and has called it a deliberate act of instigation to cause communal tensions.
In a meeting here today DSS president Gulchain Singh Charak has asked the administration to trace and book the culprits responsible for defacing of the statue and also repair the statue at the earliest.
Speakers in the meeting, he also condemned the apathy of the Government on continued deterioration and damage being caused to the archives and the artefacts in Dogra Art Museum.
They demanded that all the old things in the museum should be kept in the basement and those in closed almirahs should be put to public display.
These speakers further asked all the leaders of Dogras to visit the archives and Dogra Art Museum to see for themselves as to how the history of their ancient past glory is being deliberately obliterated by the authorities.
Prominent among those who were present in the meeting included P.S Gupta, Maj Gen Sunita Kapoor, Brig M.S Jamwal, Col Dr Virendra K Sahi VrC, Gambhir Das Singh Charak, Dr. V.S Sharma and Virender Singh Jamwal.
