Bolero hits pedestrian, serious

KATHUA, Dec 3: A pedestrian was hit by a Bolero at Pallan in Billawar area this evening. The injured pedestrian was identified as Liyakat Ali (50), son of Lal Din resident of Pallan area. He was shifted to Billawar hospital and later referred to GMC Jammu in critical condition. The eyewitness told that the Bolero No JK01T 4402 was on the way from Kathua to Billawar and it hit a motorcyclist and then a pedestrian at Pallan area this evening. All the persons traveling in Bolero left the site after leaving the vehicle on accident site as the vehicle had gone down in a gorge.
The Motorcyclist received minor injuries and moved away from the site. But the pedestrian got seriously injured and fell unconscious. The local people reached on the spot and shifted the injured to Billawar hospital.
