UDHAMPUR, May 11: Dead body of the youth, who had drowned in Tawi at Reta Morh on May 7, was located and fished out today.
The deceased, identified as Ravi Kumar (28), son of Luxman Dass of Talpad, had drowned while crossing the nallah on last Sunday. Despite hectic efforts by locals and Police, the body could not be traced and it was believed to have washed away in flow of water. However, the continuous search operation yielded result and the body was recovered from the same spot where the deceased had drowned.
Police shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for postmortem and later handed it over to the family members for last rites. A case has also been registered in this connection.
