SRINAGAR, July 22:
Body of a nine-year-old boy, who was missing since yesterday, was found today under suspicious circumstances in north Kashmir district of Kupwara.
Official sources here today said panic gripped Kalaroos in Kupwara when some locals saw body of a minor lying in a field. The locals immediately informed the police, they said, adding a team was rushed to the area and the body was taken away.
The cause of the death was not immediately clear. However, the family of the deceased boy alleged that he was murdered by their neighbour following a property dispute. “He was missing since yesterday. We tried to find him and also contacted the police. But our boy’s body was found in the field. He was murdered by our neighbour with whom we have a property dispute”, the family member of the deceased boy alleged.
After completing all the formalities, the body of the deceased boy was handed over to his relatives for last rites, official sources said, adding, police have registered a case and initiated investigation to ascertain the cause of the death. (UNI)
