JAMMU, Oct 5: Body of the martyred soldier Akshay Godbole of Ist Mahar, who had died yesterday in an IED blast at Balno sector of Poonch, was today sent to his native village for the last rites.
Earlier, body of the martyr was brought to the Tiger Division in Jammu where wreath laying ceremony was held. Senior Army officers and Jawans paid rich tributes to the martyr.
Later the body was sent to native village of Akshay Godbole for handing it over to his family for the last rites with full military honour.
