Srinagar, Feb 16: Police today claimed to have recovered a male body from a hotel in Srinagar in suspicious circumstances on Saturday evening.
A police spokesman said police was informed by the hotel staff that a guest who was putting up in their hotel was lying dead in his room in Maisuma locality of the city.
“A police rushed to the spot and recovered the body of Abdul Hamid Lone, aged 45, son of Mohammad Jamal Lone of Shortbala, Tangdhar.
Police have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC and investigation has been started investigation to ascertain the cause of the death.
