Bodies of missing SPO, his friend recovered from well

JAMMU, Feb 24: The bodies of a missing Special Police officer (SPO) and his friend were recovered today from a well in village Chakhian falling within the limits of police station Miran Sahib.
According to a police spokesperson, both the dead bodies were recovered this morning from an unused well in a paddy field at village Chakhian of Miran sahib. The deceased identified as Krishan Lal, (28) son of Gyan Chand, a resident of Dyangarh and SPO Rajinder Kumar, son of Mela Ram, a resident of Chak Plawal, were missing for over a month and a missing report dated January 25, 2015 in this regard stands registered at Miran Sahib police Station.
After getting reports from some locals, a police team from police station, Miran Sahib reached the spot and evicted the half rotten bodies from the well with the help of locals. Both the bodies were handed over to its legal heirs after completing legal formalities and conducting autopsy at Government Hospital, RS Pura.
Miran Sahib police has registered a fresh case under relevant sections and started investigations.
