JAMMU, May 10: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh passed a number of resolutions during its 13th triennial convention, which was held here today.
The convention was addressed by a number of leaders and office bearers of the Mazdoor Sangh, who highlighted various issues and demands of the working class. They appealed the Government to convene a Workers’ Conference for discussing the issues of working class and addressing the same.
In separate resolutions, passed during the convention, the BMS demanded release of 6th Pay Commission arrears, increase in minimum wages of the workers, proper implementation of the Labour Laws, an end to contractual system in industries, streamlining of the EPF system by introducing reforms, merger of EPF Board with the Central Government EPF, introduction of pension scheme for workers, salaries to J&K Dharmarth Trust employees at par with Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, etc.
The BMS also demanded that the Anganwari Workers and Helpers should be declared as Government employees and be provided Rs 15000 and Rs 10000 salary, respectively, per month till a formal order in this regard is issued.
The BMS passed another resolution demanding regularization of all the daily wagers after five years of service, DPC for PDD employees etc.
