REASI, June 9: The Reasi district unit of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) today organized its conference during which new district committee was elected.
The Conference was attended by hundreds of workers from different sectors i.e. construction workers, railways project workers, PDD, Forest, PHE, Salal Project, PWD, Postal, NHM, Anganwadi, Mid-day meal, Asha workers and street venders.
The newly elected district Reasi committee comprises of president Rajinder Kumar, Bodh Raj and Rani Devi (vice presidents), secretary Parshotam Kumar, cashier Krishan Lal, Wakil Singh (media Incharge) and Sanjay Kumar (office secretary).
Naresh Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Gulel Singh, Ashwani Kumar and Sudesh Kumar were elected as executive members. Om Parkash will be palak adhikari and Veer Singh will act as advisor of the district Committee and convener of paryavaran manch.
The chief guest of the conference was Ajay Nanda (ex-Minister) who highlighted welfare schemes launched by the Government and assured that he will try on his part to put up the greviences of workers at appropriate forum.
Dev Parkash (now State president, BMS) presented report regarding activities of the last three years of the BMS. He said that during the period mass awareness was generated among the workers about their rights and a number of awareness camps were organized in collaboration with Labour Department.
Om Parkash also highlighted the work done by the BMS. He said that special camps for registration of E-shram cards were organized by the district BMS and hundreds of workers got registered under E-shram portal.
Ashok Choudhary (sangathan mantri, State BMS) and Harbans Choudhary Senior leader, BMS also spoke on the occasion.
