JAMMU, Aug 8: A delegation of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) led by Harbans Choudhary, senior BMS leader here today met Rizwan Uddin, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner and submitted him a memorandum highlighting the problems being faced by the subscribers.
Ashok Choudhary, organizing secretary BMS; Nand Kishore Gupta and Maqbool Hussain were also present in the delegation which highlighted that in Rattle Power Project and other projects PF of workers is being deducted but the same is not deposited properly.
The delegation also informed that some contractors who have taken work in projects are also not complying with EPF properly.
“Similarly, in some industries the employers are not depositing the deducted PF with EPFO office while the daily wagers working with Government departments are also not being covered but earlier they were covered under PF scheme,” members of the delegation maintained.
The EPFO Regional PF Commissioner issued on spot instructions to subordinates for taking up the issues with the concerned managements.
It was also highlighted that JKEPFO portal is defunct from the last more than six months just for non-payment of AMC and poor subscribers are facing hardships.
