BMO attached for ‘sexually harassing’ women employees

Srinagar, Sept 21: The DHSK has attached an in-charge Block Medical Officer (BMO), Nagam district Budgam on the accusations of sexually harassing the women employees.
The official has been attached to the office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Pulwama till further orders while the probe to ascertain the facts has been ordered.
In this regard, a six-member committee had been constituted to probe the allegations
As per an order issued in this regard, it reads: “In the interest of administration, Dr Ashfaq Hassan in-charge Block Medical Officer Nagam Budgam is attached with the office of Chief Medical Officer Pulwama till further orders.”
In the meantime, Dr Malik Roohi Iqbal-who is the Medical Officer, Block Qoimoh Kulgam-has been asked to report to Block Nagam where she will take the charge of in-charge BMO Nagam.
