BLSKS starts campaign on Child Protection

JAMMU, June 3: To observe International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression and to promote the traditional culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Directorate of Social Welfare Department and Sangam Tru Art Production started a three day campaign and presented Dogri Musical Concert ‘Nirdosh Bache Gi Bachao’.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest, Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, Health Department.
Among guests of honour were V.K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity; Dr. Anju Kumari Dogra, Health Department and others.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said: “We are concerned about the safety and welfare of J&K children. Children are particularly vulnerable to danger and abuse because of their innocent and trusting nature. Child abuse is universal and widely prevalent and is not widely reported or addressed.”
He stressed on running programmes on child protection. Artist of BLSKS presented awareness songs written & directed by Dr. M.L Dogra with music by Raju Bajgal.
Singers, musician, actors and students of Music and Computer Institute who participated in the programme were Usha Raina, M.C Kotwal, Chahat Chadha and others.
