JAMMU, Apr 18: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) today performed its musical play “Gau-Dhan” at its office compound at Durga Bhawan, Janipur (Jammu).
The play was staged in collaboration with Unison Cultural Troupe, Sangam True Art Production and Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM).
The play was written and directed by ML Dogra, a renowned writer and musical play director.
The program was inaugurated by VK Magotra as the chief guest. Samarjit Mohanty, Romesh Chander and Reena were the guests of honour.
The programme featured the songs “Gau Humari Mata Hai”, “Humara unse Maa-Bete ka nata hai”, “Koi Bole Ram Koi Allah Bole”, ” Jinne Jadde Nike Hunde ase Gauya Charyiya- Kyoo Duudh Te Makhan Diya Nariya” and “Choti Choti Gaiyaa Chote Chote Gopal Chota sa Mera Madan Gopal”.
The Music of the play was composed by Raju Bajgal.
Earlier, Mohanty highlighted the essence of the play and emphasized on the socio-cultural relevance of the cow in the Indian society.
The singers, musician and actors who performed in the play were Usha Handoo, Raju Bajgal (Harmonium), Sant Das, Shivani Disgotra, Rajni Gupta, Neelam Gandotra, Hem Raj, Kamli Devi, Kamla Devi, Sunil Kumar, KK Jothi, Ghanysham Yadav, Kuldeep Raj, Bodh Raj, Deevam Jandiyal, Rakshit Sharma, Mohan Sharma, Ujwal Sharma, Dhruv Pandit, Pooja Loach, Pranavi Khajuria, Rajanya Khajuria, Samarth Gupta, Sanam Gupta, Vansh Raina, Megha Raina, Abhyud, Rajveer, Vandana Gupta, Anantika Sharma, L Danika, Bhumika Chib, Neelam Chib, Ayush Bhat and programme coordinator, Deepak Kumar.
