JAMMU, Aug 7: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) today presented Dogri musical concert ‘Bharat Mahan’ in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production on the theme ‘National Integration & Communal Harmony’.
The programme was inaugurated by V.K Magotra, former Regional Director, Field Publicity while Dr. Anju Dogra, Registrar SMGS Hospital, J.K Raina, Freelancer Producer Director Films and Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, J&K Health Department were guests of honour.
Songs presented in the programme were written, produced and directed by M.L Dogra, former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division.
The programme commenced with National Anthem.
The chief guest recalled the contributions of freedom fighters in attaining freedom and exhorted the people to preserve freedom of the country at all costs.
Traditional cultural programme was also presented by the students of Music & Computer Institution, artists of BLSKS and Sangam Tru Art Production.
The patriotic items especially designed by the artists for the occasion were ‘Pyari Ganga Ae Saree’, ‘Suno Suno Bharat Vasi’ etc.
Music for the concert was composed by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor of BLSKS.
Earlier welcoming the audience M.L Dogra, Chairman BLSKS highlighted the importance of the day and talked about Quit India Movement.
Freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives were also remembered on this occasion.
Singers, musicians, actors and students who performed in the musical concert were Usha Handoo, Rajni Gupta, M.C Kotwal, K.K Joshi and others.
