JAMMU, Aug 26: To promote traditional culture of J&K and to observe National Sports Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) staged 171st musical play ‘Ladli’in collaboration with Sangam True Art Production and was written, produced and directed by Sanstha chairman M L Dogra.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest V K Magotra. Dr A C Bhagat, J K Raina and Dr Anju Dogra were the guests of honour. Speaking on the occasion chief guest lauded  the role of BLSKS and underlined the importance of staging such plays in all parts of the State. Magotra also said the National Sports Day is observed every year across India on August 29 to mark the birth anniversary of the legendary Hockey Player Dhyan Chand.
Dr Anju Dogra spoke in length about the aim of Ladli Scheme.
The play “Ladli” reflects the agony of two conservative families who are bent upon getting their daughter and son married at tender age, ignoring the advice of intellectuals of the society. The marriage turns into a disaster making the life of both bride & groom miserable. Even bride ends her life owing to pangs of pregnancy at childhood after delivery of a dead baby.
Welcoming the dignitaries, Dr A C Bhagat explained aims and objectives of the programme.
The singers, musician, actors and students of music and computer institute who performed in the musical play were, M C Kotwal, general secretary BLSKS, Hem Raj BLSKS secretary, Parul Sharma, Renu Saproo, Asha Sharma, Asha Koul, Dhruv Pandit, Ujwal, Priya, Renu Gupta, Deevam Jandiyal, Afroz Raaz, Vansh Raina, Megha Raina, Vansh, Vanshika, Sawan, Surinder Verma, Nitin  Sharma,  Rakshit Sharma and many others. Master Darshan Singh Rajwal presented vote of thanks.
