JAMMU, June 9: To promote the Traditional Culture of J&K and observe the Anti-Malaria Month-2018, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production and National College of Computer Education presented its 212th Saturday Series Musical Play “Malaria Chha Bacho” on the theme of ‘Prevention from Malaria’ at Open Air Theatre, Durga Bhawan, Janipur, here.
The programme was inaugurated by chief guest, Dr Tara Singh Charak, former Chief Medical Officer, while VK Magotra, former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, GoI presided over the function.
The chief guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful, effective and result oriented theme wise contents to promote, love and peace as advocated by the stalwarts of theatre National Unity & Communal Harmony, Indian Democracy Health etc. were the main highlights of the cultural Program presented by renowned artists of the State.
During the month BLSKS will present 30 shows in Jammu, Samba and Udhampur districts.
Earlier, ML Dogra, chairman BLSKS presented welcome address.
The play was witnessed by a large gathering including students, Anganwadi / Asha workers, faculty members of educational Institutions and art lovers with keen interest.
The singers, musicians, actors and students of Music and Computer Institute who performed in the play were Usha Handoo, KK Joshi, Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta, MC Kotwal, Renu Saproo, Dhruv Pandit, Pandit Anup Kumar, Bindiya Arora , Mukesh Arora, Kuldeep Raj, Deevam Jandiyal, Vansh Raina, Megha Raina, Bhumika Chib, Neelam Chib, JS Chib, Diksha Jamwal, Sparsh Sharma, Rakshit Sharma, Ujwal Sharma, Uttam Singh, Azeen Ali Haider, Ranjit Kotwal, Sanjay Mehra, Riya Kotwal, Preeti Kumari, Shiv Kumar and Renu Saproo.
