JAMMU, Aug 12: To celebrate “International Youth Day” Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production presented its 169th Saturday series Dogri musical play “Sade Bankure Jawan” at open air theatre, Durga Bhawan, Janipur here, which was written, produced and directed by M L Dogra and the music was composed by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor, BLSKS.
The Program was inaugurated by V K Magotra while Dr Tara Singh Charak and Dr Anju Dogra were the guests of honour.
The program commenced with song “Sade Bankure Jawan; Sade Dese Di Shan”, “Nou Jawan Ham Bhagya Vidhata; Sache Path Ke Davedaar”, sung by the renowned artists and students of BLSKS & STAP. The chief guest lauded the role of BLSKS and underlined the importance of staging of such plays in all parts of the State to generate the awareness of culture of our country. Dr Anju Dogra also urged the artists and cultural organizations to contribute in enriching the cultural heritage and inspiring the younger generation to follow foot prints of their elders in preserving the composite culture of the nation.
Earlier in his welcome address BLSKS chairman ML Dogra said International Youth Day (IYD) is an awareness day designated by the United Nations. The purpose of the day is to draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth.
Dr Charak also spoke about the importance of the Day vis-a-vis speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this context.
The singers, musicians, actors and students of music and computer institute who performed in the musical play were M C Kotwal, general secretary BLSKS, Hem Raj, secretary BLSKS, Parul Sharma, Renu Saproo, Dhruv Pandit, Hem Raj, Himika, Priya, Bhumika Chib, Neelam Chib, Ridhima Parihar, Aditya Veer Parihar, Yog Raj, Tilak Raj, Saksham, Afroz Raaz and many others. Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks.
