JAMMU, May 23: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sanasthan (BLSKS) in collaboration with Unison Cultural Troupe, Sangam Tru Art Production and ESRM today staged its 51st musical play titled “Betiyon Se Hai Sansar ” as parts of its regular feature at 197-Durga Bhawan, Janipur.
VK Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity,Government of India was the chief guest while Dr Anju Dogra from State Health Department, Vinod Dogrash and Romesh Chander, event director, were guests of honour.
Written, produced and directed by ML Dogra (chairman BLSKS), the play reflects the agony of two conservative families who are bent upon getting their daughter and son married at tender age, ignoring the advice of intellectuals of the society. The marriage turns into a disaster making the life of both bride and groom miserable. Even bride ends her life owing to pangs of pregnancy at childhood after delivery of a dead baby. The cries of baby girl in womb of the mother caution all of us in the society not to kill girl child.
The songs sung by the artists were “Dhiyan Gi Na Marro”, “Mang Rahi Hai Beti Jag Mai Jine ka Adhikar”, ” Baiman Lok kase Diya mar De” , ” Sun-Sun Saheli Meri Sun”, “Paruhn Likhu yehi Meri Dhun” and ” Kya Pier Kahun Apne mann Ki”.
The music was composed by Raju Bajgal. The singers, musicians and actors who performed in the play were Usha Handoo, JK Raina, Raju Bajgal (Instrument), Rajat Verma, Ghanshyam Murari, Ramji Kumar Yadav, Rajni Gupta, Neelam Gandotra, HemRaj, Kamli Devi, Shivani Disgotra, Sant Das (Tabla), KK Joshi, MC Kotwal, Deevam Jandiyal, Rakshit Sharma and many others.
