JAMMU, Nov 24: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with the CCDU, WSSO Department of PHE and I&FC presented musical nukkad play “Ganga Tera Pani Amrit” on the theme of “Water Purification, Water Sanitation and Save the Water at Jhiri Mela.
The musical play was written, produced and directed by ML Dogra, former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
The progamme was inaugurated by chief guest Rajiv Malhotra, Executive Director, CCDU in presence of VK Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India and Romesh Chander, Event Director, Hitesh Gupta, SDM and Ranjit Singh, BDO. The senior official of CCDU Department Iqra Shafi, HRD Consultant, Shahnawaz and IEC Consultant Ashwani were also present.
On the occasion, songs and dance items were presented to aware the masses about the theme of the musical play. The music was composed by renowned music director MC Kotwal and the songs were sung by the artists of BLSKS.
Earlier, ML Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS in his welcome address threw light on the life and teachings of Bawa Jitoo.
The singers, musician and actors who performed were Hem Raj, Gouri Lal (Tabla), Usha Handoo, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, Rajni Gupta, Neelam Gandotra, Kamli Devi, MC Kotwal, Pooja Gupta, Pummy, Rakshrita Sharma, Parkriti Sharma, Deepak Kumar and Pooja Gupta.
In the end, Shahnawaz, IEC Consultant presented vote of thanks.
