JAMMU, May 18: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) today celebrated Golden Jubilee of its Saturday Musical Play series by staging 50th musical play “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” in co-ordination with Unision Cultural Troupe and Sangam Tru Art Production in its office premises.
The program was inaugurated by the chief guest, VK Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The play commenced with songs — “Doli Doli Ke Roop Hazar”, “Maa Ka Mul Pachano”, “Dhiyan Gi Na Marro”, “Baiman Lok Kase Diya Mar De”, “Sun -Sun Saheli Meri Sun, “Paruhn Likhu Yehi Meri Dhun” , “Kya Pier Kahun Apne Mann Ki”, “Maa Sabki Pyari Sabki Dulari”.
The play was written by ML Dogra, chairman, BLSKS while music of the play was given by renowned singer, Raju Bajgal.
The play was based on two conservative families who are bent upon getting their daughter and son married at tender age, ignoring the advice of intellectuals of the society. The marriage turns into a disaster making the life of both bride and groom miserable. The bride ends her life owing to pangs of pregnancy at childhood after delivery of a dead baby.
The singers, musicians and actors who performed were Usha Handoo, MC Kotwal , Rajni Gupta, KK Joshi, Raju Bajgal (Harmonium ), Ghyanshyam Yadav (tabla), Hem Raj, Neelam Gandotra , Kamla Devi, Rajat Verma, Sunil kumar, Bhoomika Chib, Neelam Chib, Deevam Jandiyal, Rakshit Sharma, Vansh Raina, Megha Raina, Pranvi Khajuria, Rajanya Khajuria, Sushma Sharma, Druv Pandit, Anantika Sharma, Rajveer Sharma, Abhyudaya Sharma, Vandana Gupta, Darsh Kanchru, Hema Dalotra, L-Danika, Pranavi Khajuria and Ayush Bhat.
