REASI, Sept 16: A voluntary blood donation camp was organized by Afcons Infrastructure Limited in association with Department of Blood Transfusion GMCH Jammu, IRCS, JKSACS, ISBTI, NGO SUPPORT A Global Volunteer Society at world’s highest railway bridge on river Chenab here.
During the camp, donors were from Afcons, Konkan, Northern Railway, CRPF, local residents and Sub-Contractor staff.
Dr Vijay Sawhney Former HOD Blood Transfusion Department GMC-Jammu along with Dr Navneet Kaur Secretary General Indian Society for Blood Transfusion and Immunohaematology, Chairperson NGO SUPPORT motivated the donors and appreciated the steps taken by Afcons Infrastructure Limited for holding the camp at such a remote place.
Y Tagore, Project Manager Afcons Infrastructure Limited while speaking thanked Dr Meena Sidhu, HOD Blood Transfusion Department, GMCH-Jammu, JKSACS, ISBTI and NGO SUPPORT Global Volunteer Society for their coordinated efforts in making the camp a grand success at such hilly and far flung area. He emphasized to arrange such blood donation camp in future also.
The Medical Officer Dr Sohail Goni was also present on the occasion.
