Blind murder case solved, lady among 6 arrested

JAMMU, May 16: Bari Brahmana police solved a blind murder case with the arrest of six persons including a lady, with whom the deceased was having illicit relations.
As per police spokesman, on May 12 this year, a written complaint was filed by Gurbachan Singh, son of late Ajeet Singh of Makhanpur Charkan, Tehsil Bishnah with Police Station Bari Brahmana about missing of his tenant namely Raj Kumar, son of Ishwar Prashad of Chhatisgarh, at present near Railway Colony Bari Brahmana.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 90/18 under Section 364 RPC was registered at Bari Brahmana Police Station and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a lady suspect namely Champa Devi alias Taniya, wife of Tarsem Lal of Ramgarh was detained and after thoroughly questioning, she broke her silence and confessed that she alongwith her younger son namely Sagar Kumar alias Sheebu killed Raj Kumar and buried his body at village Trindian, Ramgarh.
The offence under Sections 302 and 201 RPC were added in the case, spokesman said, adding that on the disclosure of the lady, the dead body of deceased was recovered in presence of Magistrate from graveyard.
“The lady also revealed about her illicit relationship with the deceased for the last 6 years. As the strong opposition by her family for this relationship and being disgruntled from the relationship with the deceased, the accused lady planned to kill the deceased. After murdering the deceased near Railway Colony Bari Brahmana, she with the assistance of her sons namely Arjun Kumar and Sagar Kumar and their friends Amandeep Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar, Baljeet Kumar, son of Basant Singh and Ajay Kumar alias Bhour, all residents of Ramgarh District Samba buried the dead body and destroyed the evidences”, the spokesman stated and added that the postmortem was conducted by the Board of Doctors at CHC Ramgarh.
After the hard efforts, all the six accused including the lady have been arrested and five vehicles, which were used during the crime, have also been seized.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bari Brahmana Inspector Mahesh Sharma solved the blind murder case and arrested the accused under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Dr Ashok Sharma and SSP Samba Anil Magotra.
