JAMMU, Feb 25: RS Pura police solved a blind murder case of a 17-year-old boy with the arrest of three persons.
As per police sources, on February 18 this year, a complaint was filed by Anil Mahajan with Police Station RS Pura stating that his son namely Abhay Mahajan alias Abhi (17), a resident of Ward Number 1, R S Pura went missing since yesterday evening.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 22/18 under Section 363 RPC was registered at Police Station RS Pura and hunt was launched to trace out the missing boy.
During search of missing boy, police found a gunny bag lying in drain near Kotli Gala Bana and when it was opened, the body of Abhay Mahajan was found in it with injury marks and it was suspected that the youth has been murdered.
On this offence, 302 RPC was added in the case and efforts were made to work out the blind murder.
During investigation, it was found that three persons identified as Dheeraj Sharma alias Tinku, son of Satpal and Ankur Arora alias Anku, son of Bupinder Arora, both residents of Ward Number 2, RS Pura and Naresh alias Neshu, son of Baldev, a resident of Ward Number 1, RS Pura have planned and executed the murder to extort money from father of deceased on the pretext that his son has been kidnapped by them.
The deceased was called telephonically by accused Tinku, who was known to him as earlier using stolen SIM card and took him to Gala Bana where all the three accused murdered Abhay by inflicting injuries with sharp edged weapon (toka). Later on, they packed the body of the deceased in the gunny bag and threw it in isolated place at Gala Bana.
All three accused persons have been arrested and case has been solved.
Police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary along with SHO RS Pura Inspector Bishnesh Kumar solved the blind murder case and arrested the accused under the supervision of SP Headquarters Romesh Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
