BJYM holds meet to mobilize youth for Assembly poll

RAMBAN, May 1: As a part of its outreach programme, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) organised two-day-long ‘Yuva Udghosh’ event at Dak Bunglow, Batote to mobilise youth and first-time voters for the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu Kashmir.
The State-level office bearers, Prabharis, Seh Prabharis and district presidents of the BJYM, including State vice president, BJP Pawan Khajuria, State president, BJYM Arun Prabhat, former MLA, Neelam Langeh and Municipal Council Chairman, Batote, Ravinder Singh attended the programme.
Under the ‘Yuva Udghosh’ programme, a massive drive has been launched to connect with the youths and first-time voters to channelize their energy in right direction for nation building and mobilize them for upcoming Assembly elections in the Union Territory of Jammu Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, BJYM State president, Arun Prabhat expressed gratitude to all the participants and gave a brief account on the various activities being conducted by the BJYM to connect with the youth of the UT.
“We have lined up a series of outreach programmes in the next few months to enlist youth and first-time voters and mobilise them for the next Assembly elections,” Prabhat said, adding “it is important to bring the young voters to the polling booth and efforts should be made by the party cadre to meet this challenge with utmost ease through strong resolve and conviction”.
Addressing the programme, vice president, BJP Pawan Khajuria said that youths have always played a decisive role in any electoral exercise. “It is important to make the youth aware of the work done by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi-led Government at the Centre to carry out unprecedented development and improve the law and order situation in Jammu Kashmir. There is also a need to understand the wishes and expectations of youths so that a blueprint is prepared to fulfill them,” Khajuria said.
