JAMMU, July 1: Alleging that KCR Government miserably failed to come up to the expectations of the people, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta expressed confidence that BJP will form the Government in Telangana after the next Assembly elections.
He was addressing a gathering during a visit to Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram at Tandoor Mandal in Bellampalli Vidhan Sabha here on Friday. He said that the Vaishya Samaj acts as the arms of the BJP as this segment of people have always supported the party. Kavinder also had lunch with SC community members during his visit in the Ashram.
The senior BJP leader said that BJP’s slogan, ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Aur Sabka Vishwas’, says it all about the party universal approach towards the people of the country irrespective of their caste, colour or creed. He said that water, funds and employment were the core issues over which the Telangana movement was fought and the TRS party came to power with a promise to fulfil the three but on ground it failed miserably thus losing the ground and paving way for the BJP to serve the people selflessly which the Saffron party will do soon after coming to power following elections.
Kavinder asserted that people of the State were denied benefits under PM Awas Yojana (Housing for All Scheme). He said that KCR came to power in 2014 and promised two-bed room houses for the poor by constructing over seven lakh houses between 2014 and 2019, but till date the number has not crossed the one lakh mark whereas in the neighboring State of Andhra Pradesh, the Government during the last six years had built over 15 lakh houses.
“Telangana also deprived the people of Ayushman Scheme, which is a philanthropic initiative of the Modi Government”, Kavinder said, adding that Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project has proved out to be a 24/7 ATM for Kalvakuntla (Surname of KCR) family, as the initial project cost was Rs 36,000 crore but now escalation cost of this project has gone up to Rs 1.40 lakh crore but the people have not received any benefit out of it which has exposed the deception by the KCR government.
“The TRS Government is ignoring people’s issues. It is a corrupt Government that refused to implement several Central Government schemes including Ayushman Bharat and Fasal Beema Yojana,” he added.
