BJP will ensure equitable development of all three regions: Rajnath

JAMMU, June 8: Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, today said that there will be no discrimination with any part of the State during BJP rule at Centre and every care has been taken for equitable development of all three regions of the State.
The Union Home Minister on the last leg of his two days visit to the border State of Jammu and Kashmir, was addressing a meeting of BJP Ministers, MPs, legislators chairpersons and vice chairpersons of different Boards and Corporations here this evening.
He said the BJP is committed for the welfare of all kind of refugees including West Pak refugees, PoJK refugees and displaced people from Kashmir and all possible steps will be taken to redress their grievances. While responding to a query of State party chief, Ravinder Raina that the West Pak refugees being non state subjects who mostly reside in border areas are deprived of compensation in the event of death of their any member in border shelling, Rajnath Singh said that he has issued instructions that they too will get the same compensation which is given to other victims of border shelling.
Earlier he was briefed about the party’s organizational and political activities across the State as also the feedback of the ground on four years of good governance of Modi Government by the party president, Ravinder Raina and other senior leaders.
Rajnath Singh, said that it is indeed a matter of pride for each one of us to know that the international agencies have recognised that today India has become 6th most strong economy of the world, which was earlier at rank 10 and added that the Narendra Modi Government is working to take it at rank 3 in near future. He stressed on need to put more efforts to further highlight various welfare schemes being launched during the last four years for the socio-economic upliftment of all the sections of the society.
As for the border people of Jammu and Kashmir are concerned, he said the Union Government is very much concerned and a number of decisions have been taken for their safety, security and development. Rajnath said that work on construction of bunkers has been taken up at war footing, border bhawans for border population are going to be constructed, five bullet proof bunkers/ bullet proof ambulances for border people, establishment of women battalions, setting up of Border Bhawans, are few among dozens of initiatives in this direction.
Earlier, BJP State President, Ravinder Raina, welcomed the Union Home Minister by presenting shawl and also spoke on issues related to the border people and refugees from West Pakistan. He also expressed gratitude to the Union Government for acceding to the long pending demands of the border people.
Union MoS Dr. Jitendra Singh, Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, and State general secretary (organization) Ashok Koul also shared dais with Rajnath Singh.
