JAMMU, Sept 30: Maintaining that BJP does not believe in casteism and dividing people on the basis of caste, region and language, the party’s Anusuchit Jaati Morcha National general secretary and North Zone Prabhari, Suresh Rathore today said that party is wedded to equality of all human beings.
Inaugurating the Working Committee meeting of the State Unit of the Morcha here today, he alleged that people belonging to SC communities have been discriminated against by the successive Congress Governments after the independence as a result of which their social and economic status has not improved despite the fact that the Constitution of India has given right to reservation in Government jobs to them and number of welfare schemes were launched for them from time to time as the benefits of these schemes have not reached to genuine people.
Mr Rathore said the BJP run states are focusing on up liftment of SCs and no laxity is being tolerated in implementing the welfare schemes for them. This has yielded positive results and in these states the people in large numbers are campaigning for BJP to bring it to power in the coming Parliamentary elections at Centre.
He also made a fervent appeal to SCs to come forward and strengthen BJP by casting their vote in favour of party in coming elections and ensure its victory under the leadership of Narindera Modi.
After inaugurating the State Working Committee meeting, Mr Rathore along with State general secretary (Org) BJP, Ashok Kaul and other leaders took stock of the political activities and organizational set up of the Morcha.
Mr Kaul while addressing one of the Sessions of the Working Committee of the Morcha said that BJP has constituted different Morchas with an objective to give independent identity to their respective segments of the society and also take up the party’s principles and ideology to them.
Morcha State president Surinder Bhagat, highlighted the programmes of the Morcha undertaken during last one year. He also announced the future schedule of the programme and appealed the Morcha activists to bring more people into party fold.
The Morcha leaders from entire state attended the meeting and prominent among them were Dina Nath Bhagat, Tilak Raj, P C Sangra, Faqir Chand, Capt (retd) Moti Lal etc.
