Chadoora, Apr 21:  A day after two Bharatiya Janata Party’s leaders made inflammatory remarks in their election speeches, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah lashed out at them and claimed such communal elements want to create a new Pakistan.
“They (BJP) have created one Pakistan and I think they want to create a new Pakistan. If they keep the same thinking then it is difficult for them to save India,” Abdullah told reporters in central Kashmir’s Chadoora area in Budgam during election campaigning.
The National Conference president said that such remarks are a sign of worst thinking and we should raise our voice against such thinking.
“These remarks are very dirty and we should raise our voice against this as much as we can and unveil these people who want to end the unity among Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs and Christians  in the country,” he said.
BJP leader Giriraj Singh, who is a Lok Sabha candidate from Nawada, Jharkand, during an election rally had reportedly accused BJP Prime Ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi’s, opponents of acting on behalf of Pakistan and said such people should go to Pakistan.
Abdullah also slammed Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s president Pravin Togadia’s threatening speech in Gujarat against Muslims for buying properties in Hindu areas.
“We are not worried by the threats given by Pravin Togadia and we will not be frightened by such threats. We have been treading the path of Allah and by His will we will succeed and defeat them,” Abdullah said.
The Union Minister also lashed out at his opposition PDP for filing FIR against him and crying about rigging elections.
“They (PDP) are sensing a defeat and that is why they see such things. I don’t have guns, rockets and bombs to fire (on them). We only have one thing and that is vote which we will use. What rigging they are crying about? Do I carry the Election Commission in my pocket?” he said in a high pitched voice.
“Many of our people, our Sarpanchs and Panchs have been killed. Were they then killed by Farooq Abdullah? It is unfortunate that they (PDP) are such shortsighted people,” he said.
The NC president refused to comment on the controversy which erupted between separatists, Syeed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, after the former claimed that two emissaries of Narendra Modi met him to seek his engagement on Kashmir dialogue and were in secret liaison with another “pro-freedom organisation”.
“I am not going to comment on that because both have said a lot on the issue. I pray to God to help them correct it and have a good understanding (with each other). I cannot say anything more,” he said.
Earlier, during election campaign he blamed PDP for supporting BJP in Jammu. He also blamed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for creating Pakistan.
“It was RSS which divided Hindus and Muslims in India. Now, they want to end our identity, snatch our flag and our constitution from us (Kashmiri). They want to attack our religion.  And Mufti (Sayeed) is supporting them,” he said.
